摘要：Chemical substances, has been a growing demand for biodiversity conservation as well as for ecological risk assessment/management of chemical substances, driven by the domestic and/or international regulations (eg. Chemical Substances Control Law [CSCL] of Japan, REACH of EU, and Huaxuepin Guanli Tiaoli of China). However, risk assessment is a complicated procedure that requires enormous time and a high level of expertise. Furthermore, new assessment methodologies have been increasingly developed, making the shift from traditional impact assessment at the organism level to more ecologically relevant assessments such as “species sensitivity distribution” or “populationlevel effect modeling”. For these reasons, ecological risk assessment of chemical substances is considered “something difficult and/or impossible for those with little assessment experience and cumbersome and/or complicated for practitioners”. In order to address these issues in risk assessment, we have developed a risk assessment and management tool (AIST-MeRAM), making use of know-hows, experience and findings obtained over our 15 years of research. I will briefly review at first the needs and the international situation of chemicals risk assessment and management.
简介：Dr.LIN is a chief senior scientist of ecological risk assessment of chemical substances at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) of Japan. Dr. LIN graduated from Fujian Normal University (China) in Biology, received her Ph.D. in Engineering of Material and Biology from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (Japan), and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Industrial Science of University of Tokyo. She mainly focused onresearch of ecological risk assessment and management of chemical substances, methodologies development for balancing the benefit and adverse environmental impact of nitrogen compounds.
